WordPress Expert Coder Required

Hi,

Some friends and I run a sports blog with WordPress as the CMS, we use a customized theme and a few customized plugins too. And we’re on a VPS.

Unfortunately our site loads very slow. 10-14 seconds to load the homepage. We need to speed it up and are looking for someone to help with this.

We had Super Cache installed, but switched to W3 Total Cache with a CDN setup. However, that has given us problems with some content not displaying correctly or at all. Now we have turned off W3 but cannot remove it, it’s been a real pain, or reinstall Super Cache. Even with Super Cache we were slow.

We had a report on what to optimism, in terms of reducing page load, and unnecessary code and CDN implementation. Our blog has quite a few images.

I really think we probably need just a few tweaks, reducing the amount of style sheets used ect and the cache working correctly with CDN to get it to an acceptable speed. To this end we’re looking for a great wordpress coder who can help. We don’t have bags of cash, it’s only a blog afterall, but we’d like to talk to anyone who’s interested.
