# WordPress Error – "Theme install failed"

 * I receive the following error when uploading the latest Muut version to WordPress.
 * Installing Theme from uploaded file: muut.3.0.6.zip
    Unpacking the package…
 * Installing the theme…
 * The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
 * Theme install failed.

 * Sounds like you tried to install the plugin as a theme. 🙂
 * If you head to the Plugins section of your wp-admin, you can click “Add New” 
   and search “Muut” and you can install it that way. See the installation instructions
   [here](https://wordpress.org/plugins/muut/installation/). Let me know if you
