ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-encoding-problem/) * Hello, * in few past weeks I’m facing a problem with wordpress encryption _(I suppose)_ and as this problem seems unsolvable to me, I’d like to ask you for help. * The main problem is that whenever I try to enter **wordpress administration pages** such as general customization, page edit, customization of the page blocks and seems to be left without any changes, working well, I just cannot edit the pages nor the website as any customization is not working at this moment. * When I tried to fix this problem before I decided to ask you for help, I tried disabling some of the plugins because I thought it’s a plugin collision first, it didn’t help at all though. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles. * Thread Starter [rasmusak](https://wordpress.org/support/users/matejotava/) * (@matejotava) * [4 years ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-encoding-problem/#post-15582907) * [@t-p](https://wordpress.org/support/users/t-p/) I’m sorry for that, I little bit misspecified what I did on the site. * I turned off all of the plugins but as the plugins have their function on the website, other stuff was not working properly so it made it a little bit harder to find the source of the problem for me, so I turned some of them back off. * Anyway, as I did it again right now, it seems that the main cause might be the plugin Gutentor – a page builder that I’m using. When I turn this plugin off, I am able to enter the most of the customization but as I used this plugin to build all of the pages, I cannot do much without losing the content. * Unfortunately, for some reason there is one interesting thing. Before I turned the plugin off, when clicking on “edit page” at the main page, the page full of code showed up. When I turned the plugin off, I was able to fully edit the page and it seems to be working even after turning the plugin back on.
