Title: WordPress editor not working properly Last modified: August 22, 2016 --- # WordPress editor not working properly * [arrt](https://wordpress.org/support/users/arrt/) * (@arrt) * [11 years, 3 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-editor-not-working-properly/) * The problem started when one of my clients said that after they copy and pasted or typed their content in the wordpress page editor the styles are not displayed on the published page. Meaning if they type a paragraph and hit enter for a space and bold some text it looks correct in the editor but when they hit publish, the page is not reading the entered spaces and bold text, its just one long paragraph of text. * I’ve tried rebuilding the theme as I noticed it was just a theme problem and not an installation problem. I’ve switched to other themes copied and pasted the text and it publishes just fine, so I know something is wrong with the theme, I just don’t know where to look. Would this be in the functions.php, or the page. php. I’m scratching my head…I’m a rookie to building themes so I followed a tutorial step by step. * If anyone has encountered this problem and can direct me to a solution I would be for ever grateful. * I don’t mind uploading some code if needed.
