  • I have made a fresh install of WordPress 5.1.1. on my site and after login on …/wp-admin/ I get an Index of /test/wp-admin instead of the WordPress editor.
I have tried 3 times to reinstall WordPress on this site with the same result.
I have tried to install wordpress on another site and there it works without a problem.

I have to mention that on I have installed wordpress in another folder and with another database. that blog become corrupted after an update of wordpress. after that update the wordpress editor was not loading and instead I got an Index of /blog/wp-admin. I did not delete the old blog folder or database, in order not to lose the content of the old blog.

Are there any active plugins? If so, which ones? Is there a console error?

    hey @jcastaneda

on the old blog (which has the wordpress somehow corrupted) I have installed several plugins, only 3 are activated now 2 anti-spam and 1 for backup WordPress

you think the issue comes from the plugins?

I get not error messages. just the wordpress editor doesn’t load, instead I get an “Index of…” list

That sounds like it could be a PHP configuration issue. Reach out to your host about that.
