• I installed this plugin along with Contact Form 7 and Email Before Download to help keep track of who is downloading an ebook. It seems to work fine but the logs don’t give me the information I’d like. The IP address is not sufficient. I’d like to also get the email address.

So, is there a way when the email is sent to the requestor, that a copy be also sent to the admin?

    Thank you, jim

    Hi Jim,

One would typically configure Contact Form 7 to email himself/herself the information that was filled out in the form.

Also, in Email Before Download v1.0 and above, we have added logging capabilities and included the ability to export a csv file of these logs from the admin settings page that does include the users’ email addresses.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi,

I just wonder if it is possible to have the date of the download in the CSV export.

I guess it’s easy to do so but could you help us to make it right?

    Thanks you

Yes, this is part of the latest release. Please feel free to download at:

    Thank you very much.

    It’s all good.

Great. Thanks for verifying this is working for you now.

Is there any way of getting the export.php file to seperate the posted_data into seperate fields within the .csv file?

Other wise this is a top notch plugin, nice one.

    Hi Cronolis,

There is not a current way of exporting the fields, but we will add this to our list of requests and review the possibility of building this feature.

By the way, thank you for the compliments.

I like the CSV output but its buried in the “Email before Download Settings” and is confusing for my clients to use this feature (and somewhat cumbersome)

    So I ask:

    • Is their another place where someone can quickly export the CSV file?
    • How can I enbale Download monitor (or some other pluging) to capture this information so you can see it online?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi nyartboy,

We will plan to make the export link more visible in the next release. I’m not sure I understand your second bullet; the export capability is made available online through the WordPress admin interface. Perhaps you are looking for a web-based grid view of this data as opposed to an export?
