wordpress dont create subdirctory for new blog

    hello
    i have wpmu3.0.1 and when i open the super admin menu and create the new site it create path in database but dont create in directory.and when i click visit the path reject error :
    “The requested URL /majid was not found on this server.
    Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at ip address Port 80 “
    can u help me?

    The sites are virtual, they do not create a physical directory on the server.

    They *do* require mod_rewrite and being able to read the .htacces file. in other words, you need pretty permalinks enabled.

    thank you i find a new problem that i can not send email activition to user and i use smtp gmail for send.please help me

    You’ll need to describe the problem more than that. Why can’t you send email through gmail? Do they not deliver, is wordpress unable to send the emails, do you get any errors, etc.

    Also it’s not recommended to use gmail smtp if you are going to have many signups. Gmail restricts outgoing emails per day to something like 100.

    i install wp-mail-smtp plugin in wordpress and configure complete but in the test mail reject error “SMTP -> ERROR: Failed to connect to server: (0)”

    You probably haven’t set it up correctly.

    Your host may also be blocking outbound connections to that port.
