wordpress discussion option doesn't appear when adding a new page

    When I add a new page or edit an existing page I’m not being given the option to disable comments. The Allow Comments and Allow Trackbacks and Pingbacks in the Discussion bar don’t appear. I’ve tried matching the Discussion settings with another site I have but no luck.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello cgrray,

    For displaying discussion option in admin side on the top of the page click on the “Screen Options” and check the checkbox for the discussion option thats it, it will display when you will add new page.
