    My host is wordpress.com

    On installation message reads I get a message that “wordfence installation is incomplete.” below that is

    “wordfence” has been deactivated, “security” related plugins may break your site or cause performance issues for your site and are not supported on WordPress.com.

    I have tried to activate it twice and same result.

    Hi @americanstudies, thanks for reaching out to us.

    Sadly at this time, Wordfence is listed as an incompatible plugin on their platform for reasons that they do not need to disclose to us.

    As a widely used security plugin for many customers, only changing hosting platform would make Wordfence available to you at this point. We always try to work with hosts where possible but I can’t guarantee that Wordfence will be available on WordPress.com at any specific time in the future.
