WordPress Dashboard & My Website Randomly Stop Loading

    I have an incredibly frustrating issue I’m dealing with. When I log into WordPress (http://niksavtchenko.com/wp-admin/) and upload my website’s content, it works just fine at first but then the WP Dashboard AND the website itself randomly stops loading. When you type in the URL, nothing happens.

    At first I thought it was something I did, so I re-installed the WordPress script in my hosting company’s control panel and re-created the entire website from scratch. However, it happened again as I was in the middle of uploading JPEGs for the website in the WP Dashboard (http://niksavtchenko.com/wp-admin/).

    I tried 7 times now and this happened every single time. Not right away, but after a day or two. I even tried leaving my PC on with the WP Dashboard and website loaded in my browser for several days while I worked on the website in an attempt to finish it before it disappeared. However, it still disappeared along with all of my hard work. I tried creating it from scratch using multiple browsers AND multiple computers with no luck.

    Why is this happening and how do I make it stop? I don’t think I have it in me to start over yet again only to lose it all.

    I hope you understand the problem. I’m trying my best to explain the issue. You can try going to my website yourself. Nothing will show up. If I delete WordPress from hosting company’s control panel and install it again, re-uploading my content using the WP Dashboard (http://niksavtchenko.com/wp-admin/), the website will work fine again. For a while…

    I did create a backup in my hosting company’s control panel this time but I have no idea how to open it and make my website work again. All I can do is start from scratch but that would be pointless because it’s guaranteed to happen again.

    Please help! I don’t know what else to do!

    Try checking your site’s error logs for messages. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

    My host said it’s likely an issue with the theme I’m using (Portafolio). I emailed them again for the error logs. So, if it’s the theme, is there nothing I can do to fix this issue besides choose another theme? The problem with trying a differrnt theme is that all of my content is geared specifically towards my current theme. It would be a shame to change it because it’s a great theme with no other issues to speak of.

    Correct – unless the theme’s developers can help you. Where did you download it from?

    The theme works exceptionally well until it randomly disappears. Do you think there are any options I could enable/disable in WP that could potentially be causing this? How very unfortunate.

    I’m sorry but as you appear to be using a non-WPORG theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from wordpress.org here.

    That said, there’s nothing theme related in those error logs. They all look like server-related issues to me. Seems like your hosts are imposing limits that are stopping your site from working effectively. Try asking them about it.
