wordpress dashboard missing for users

When logged in as a normal user )subscriber user or student user) there is no WordPress Dashboard banner or user profile across the top under the website url. Show Toolbar when viewing site is checked.
https://german-anywhere.com/wp-admin redirects to https://german-anywhere.com/my-account/

When logged in as admin, the wordpress Dashboard banner is visible.(as a user it is not visible)

Disabling the woocommerce plugin returns the wordpress Dashboard for the users.

Searching in this forum and on stackoverflow it appears to be an issue with a conflict with the woocommerce plugin.

Any suggestions on how to resolve it ?
Without the wordpress user profile appearing then users will not be able to delete their accounts in wordpress by themselves.

If the user is set to Administrator Role then voila’ the WordPress Dashboard appears for the user.

Therefore it must be related to a setting in Woocommerce, somewhere where I have not found even though I have looked.

Any idea where ?

Hi there!

I see you have many BuddyPress plugins active. If you test your site with ONLY WooCommerce active, are you seeing the admin bar as expected?

Thank you for answering. I disabled everything except Woocommerce and the same issue is present…when the user is a subscriber no wordpress dashboard/profile. When the user role is set to administrator then the Dashboard appears under the url address.

Any further suggestions ?

Hi @englishanywhere,

Thanks for getting back.

This is actually the expected behavior. By default, WooCommerce blocks non-admin users from entering WP-Admin or seeing the WP-Admin bar.

You can remove this restriction by adding the following code:
```
/**
 * Allow customers to access wp-admin
 */
add_filter( 'woocommerce_prevent_admin_access', '__return_false' );
add_filter( 'woocommerce_disable_admin_bar', '__return_false' );
```
* I recommend adding the code via the Code Snippets plugin.

Thank you for this solution ! I searched for this information for several hours and found that this was the expected behavior but did not find the Woocommerce documentation or this solution. This is very helpful.
