WordPress Copyright

  • I am using wordpress on an external site but have set it up so that the site dynamically pulls the posts from the wordpress database without users actually viewing the “wordpress” pages. Do I need to put powered by wordpress or anything else to comply with the wordpress copyright. Can you attach links to documents for future reference.

    There is no requirement to link back to WordPress.

    The only “wordpress copyright” is the copyright on the name “WordPress,” and of course the core code (but that’s technically GPL and not a copyright). You’re free to do whatever you want. You could even replace it with “Powered by something I created yesterday,” though some people may frown on that.
