# WordPress connectivity problem

 * Hi pros!
 * I have being having problems with my WordPress site which is hosted on a Windows/
   IIS platform.
 * i have being having this errors on the dashboard :
 *     ```
       RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: couldn't connect to host
       RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: connect() timed out!
       ```
   
 * also in the add plugin page i have this error:
 * `An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this
   server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support
   forums.`
 * this was a big problem when i was about to upgrade to 3.5.1 i had to do it manually,
   today i just got curious because i have not received any notification about any
   update so i did a search and found out that most of my plugins are even outdated
   but i dont get the update notification, not even notification to update to 3.5.2(
   note i am not getting the update because there is a connectivity problem and 
   not because my plugins are outdated)
 * i have tried all i konw like to disable all plugins and all that troubleshooting,
   contacted my hosting company, still no joy.
 * I am so fed up and it was all working fine at first installation, problem surfaces
   all by it self because i didnt tamper with anything.
