# WordPress Comments System

 * I’ve never used the comments system before – I’ve used WordPress mainly for website
   development (not blogs)
 * I have implemented a knowledgebase system and added the comments template to 
   allow commenting `comments_template()`
 * I want to notify all previous commenters every time a new comment is posted. 
   Is this possible with the standard comments system?
 * Do I need to install and config. a 3rd party comment system?

 * Thanks. I just had a look through and specifically:
 * 1. Will each commenter be notified without the need to create a wordpress.com
   account and turn on notifications?
 * 2. This is a staff login so each user has a WP account to login and comment –
   comments are currently restricted to registered users only.
 * From Jetpack
    -I f you have “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”
   enabled in Settings -> Discussion, you will not be able to use the Jetpack Comment
   form.
