# WordPress CMS and Blog problem

 * First, I’m running 2.32, but this didn’t work on 2.31 either. I’ve looked through
   all of the relevant forum topics and documentation, and have not been able to
   figure out how to do what I’m wanting to do with WordPress. I’m a newbie, so 
   dumbing down any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 * I would like to run my site as a CMS (and I’m using the Mimbo 2.2 theme, which
   does this), yet also have a page titled ‘Blog’ that has all of my most recent
   posts. My home page (20somethingfinance.com) is my index page on my root directory,
   and was not an added created page. I want to use this page to highlight recent
   news and posts, yet also have a separate ‘Blog’ page with my 10 most recent blog
   posts. The problem is that the two pages are syncing up
    (don’t want them to)
   and I can’t get anything to post on the ‘Blog’ page.
 * So far, nothing has worked, here is what I’ve tried.
    1. Tried running the front
   page as dynamic. 2. Tried front page as static with ‘blog’ as my posts page. 
   3. Added a blog.php file as suggested on the site documentation.
