 * I guess this is a ‘support’ type of question… I’m wondering what WP’s capabilities
are with regards to continually adding and removing things from the database.
I searched and didn’t find a lot of info, perhaps I wasn’t searching in the right
places. In my situation I’m dealing with a plug-in called Jigoshop and I’m selling
new music gear. I’d like to sell used gear, as well…; but there may be LOTS more
of it and it’ll basically be gone once it’s sold (meaning: there’s no need to
keep certain Jigoshop ‘product’ pages around after the used item has sold). My
   questions are:
 * When I remove a ‘product page’ does it *really* remove everything from the database
in a way that doesn’t slow the db down?
 * Note: This question isn’t so much geared at Jigoshop as it is as WP, in other
words, what happens to a WP database when pages or posts are removed?
 * Can WP handle this kind of continuing activity?
 * What, if any, are the down sides of this amount of activity and how can I overcome
   them (if possible)?
 * Thanks in advance and please excuse me if this has been asked many times before(
I couldn’t find answers that gave me the info I’m seeking).

 * That **is** a question you need to ask of the Jigshop developers.

 * Yes. That’s how database driven sites are supposed to work.

 * Thanks for the quick response!
 * I’m not sure the question is for Jigoshop, though, I have asked a few questions
over there, as well. The reason I say it isn’t a JS issue is because JS appears
to use WP’s wp_meta table for storing the product page info. In my mind that
would seem to indicate that it’s more of a WP issue with respect to how the stuff
is moved into and out of the database. I’m questioning this because of things
I’ve read about WP ‘revisions’ and how all the data may not be completely removed
from the database (maybe this isn’t true in newer versions of WP?). I’m wondering
if the same sort of thing may be at play here.

 * Even if Jigoshop uses the wp_options table, it’s down the plugin as to whether
those entries are removed on product deletion.
