    Hi there,

I have a custom role I would like to be able to add Temporary Logins. What capabilities does this role need to have in order to access the plugin functionalities?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

Only Administrators have access to use full functionalities of Temporary Login Without Password plugin.

Even temporary administrator can’t use full functionalities of Temporary Login Without Password plugin.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply.

So it is based on the role itself rather than capabilities of that role? I can’t give any other role (e.g. a custom role) capabilities that would allow the use of the plugin in WP admin?

    Many thanks,
    Luther

    Hi Luther,

    No. It’s not like that.

Temporary user will get all access except few restricted functionalities like (add, edit users, delete temporary login plugin etc..).

So, if you are creating a temporary user with XYZ role, it will have access to all features XYZ role have.

    Hope that helps.

Sorry, I don’t think I made myself clear. I understand about the abilities temporary users will have (they will be based on whatever role I give temporary users).

What I would like is for a role other than Administrator to be able to CREATE temporary logins.

Say if I duplicate the Administrator role and call it ‘Manager’ – will this new Manager role be able to CREATE temporary logins using the plugin functions?

    Hi Luther,

    Sorry..it’s not possible.

Any temporary user with any role (even administrator) can’t create temporary login for others.

    Hope that helps.
