# WordPress capabilities

 * I have been reading through the documentation and lessons and wordpress seems
   to be focusing on blogging. I currently have no interest in the blogging features.
   Will wordpress work as a normal website development tool?

 * Yes it will. You just need to turn off all commenting and use Pages – not Posts.

 * thanks.
    second problem. when I started up initially and ran through the tutorial.
   I was able to see the home page in design mode and make some changes to text.
   Now after selecting a theme I cannot get to the page to add content and edit 
   it. I created a page but find no way to do the layout, add text and pictures 
   etc. What am I missing?
