WordPress Button Doesn't Open URL

Hi, I’ve recently run into a bit of a snag with my Button element. It won’t open this specific URL

URL – “https://www.saseeding.org/events-calendar/jeep-warrior-race-1-saturday-2016-02-06#event_details”

Even when I use the bottong in a text block it doesn’t work.

I’ve bypassed the issue for the time being by using a Shortened URL, but this unfortunately effects the Analytics and SEO for the site concerned.

My only thoughts are that either the URL is too long (which I doubt) or there is something in the URL that prevents WordPress from opening it.

I’m currently using WordPress 4.4 with Jupiter 4.1.1 and visual composer.

I’m still quite new to the web development field, so I apologise if this was a stupid question.
