    @catacaustic

    very awesome

    The main issue that happens in Windows servers is that they don’t work with the .htaccess file to set up your permalinks in the same way that Apache does. You might want to read this article to find out more.

    Hi Murali,

    You could try adding the following to your web.config file,

    <configuration>
    <system.webServer>
    <rewrite>
    <rules>
    <rule name=”wordpress” patternSyntax=”Wildcard”>
    <match url=”*”/>
    <conditions>
    <add input=”{REQUEST_FILENAME}” matchType=”IsFile” negate=”true”/>
    <add input=”{REQUEST_FILENAME}” matchType=”IsDirectory” negate=”true”/>
    </conditions>
    <action type=”Rewrite” url=”index.php”/>
    </rule></rules>
    </rewrite>
    </system.webServer>
    </configuration>

    Kind regards
    Jamie

    Yes web.config is the answer Murali.

    Try going to admin panel and then clicking on settings>permalinks.

    Set up the permalink and when you click save button it gives the code to be added into web.config.

    You can place it as it is and it should be working fine then.

    Let us know if that helped.
