WordPress Behaving strangely

  • I am facing a rather unusual phenomenon, I searched all over the internet and didn’t find any answer, so finally I’m here. My website is http://gadgets-n-autos.com running on the latest wordpress platform, here is the issue, wordpress moves older posts to a current up top position automatically, one old post each day would pop up at the top with current date, what would be the issue?

  • Did you install some kind of feature post plugin recently? I just visited the site and all I saw were current posts. Next time it happens, take a screen capture, and upload that somewhere on your server and post the link.

The only thing I can think of that would cause that behavior would be some kind of rotating feature post plugin that might randomly pick an older post to “feature.” Other than that, I’ve got nothing.

    Hi jonimueller,

No, I don’t have any featured plugin, whenever an old post comes up, I go to the post and change its date to past (where it belongs). Screenshot is of no use because the reader of the site doesn’t know whether the top post is new or old, it changes the date to current date.

    Try these:
    – Deactivate all plugins and see if the problem still persists
    – Revert to the default theme with/without plugins and note the results
    – If the above steps do not help, upload WordPress manually from a freshly downloaded package except the wp-contents folder

    Thanks Krishna,

I even tried that but no luck 🙁

I even tried that but no luck

When did you try it? Now, or at an earlier occasion? Can I see your site with the default theme with the plugins off?

I tried it a couple of days back, deactivated all the plugins except WP cache, I think WP Cache might be causing this issue, (not sure) will de-activate and check it once again.
