I´m a girl from Sweden, and i don´t write in english very often, so i start with a apology for my bad spelling!
I don´t know very much about PHP yet, but i am trying to build my own theme =)
I have used a guide and made my file structure from scratch. The guide has the usual html structure with Heading, Main content, Sidebar and Footer.
But, in this Sidebar, they have two widget-areas. I don´t want them! I want my Sidebar to act just like the Main-content. I want to be able to put what ever i want in my Sidebar, and i want to be able to edit the Sidebar from my Admin-area.
I have been trying some different things.. I have made a php file called Aside.php made with “Template name: Aside”, so i can choose to use that as a template when i add a New page in Admin.
And i have tried to connect the Page.php to the Aside.php, but i made it obviously the wrong way…
So, how is the easiest way to do this? Maybe i do all of this the wrong way…?
I would be very grateful for answers. I hope you will understand my swenglish.. =)
