Hi, after scouring the web with every search word combinations that i could think of for the last 10 days or so, I’ve given up and decided to post on the forum as a last resort…

I’m looking for a plugin that i plan on using on my sidebar; one that, loosely described, would be updated on, let’s say weekly basis, displaying the blogger’s/publisher’s picks on “What’s Hot, and What’s Not.” This isn’t some revolutionary new concept, so I was surprised I couldn’t find an existing plugin that does this already considering the insane amount of available plugins made for wordpress. I run an online music webzine, and what I wanted to implement on my site’s front page was some kind of box within my sidebar, that i could customize and update when needed, on our predictions for upcoming trends (What’s Hot… ie. on the rise) and trends that are about to become fads (What’s Not… ie. on its way down)…

I looked for a site that had such a thing that fit that description, and this was sort of does: http://www.electronicbeats.net/eb/music/barometer_spring_07

Nevermind the way it is styled… I just want to have one with a basic display… does anyone know of an existing plugin that does that, or anything close to that? Or if not, would it be really hard to write such a plugin? I’m not a coder, so I may be completely wrong about this, but it doesn’t sound like something that would be incredibly hard to write since it’s pretty straightforward… no?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, and definitely rewarded, as of a way to show my gratitude… oh and in case anyone cares, my site can been seen at http://www.welovemusique.com

    cheers.
