WordPress backups: What do you use?

  • Our company is looking for a better automatic backup solution for our WordPress driven websites.

I’m intrigued by VaultPress. Has anybody had any experience with this service? Perhaps you use an alternative method?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

    I don’t know VaultPress.

On my website, I use WordPress Database Backup Version 2.2.3

You can do backup on demand and schedule them (hourly/daily/weekly) for whatever databases, and select which tables you want include in the backup ! Additionaly, you can set an email address where to send backup(s) !!!

Just because I happened to have it as a GUI front-end for working with MySQL databases at my webhost, I used SQLyog Enterprise to backup my blog’s database each day by setting up a task (or Job) to run daily using Windows’ Task Scheduler.

I’m sure there’s cheaper (or free) solutions out there or some WordPress plug-in but I had it so I used it. 🙂
