WordPress Backend to APP

    Hello All,

    I had some developers create an iOS app and wordpress server for me to run the app. It all worked great until I lost the old server website and now have a new one. It appears my app won’t work because the app is calling out for the old server. Is there a way to change this on the server setting side of things through WordPress?

    It’s really hard to tell, that sounds like a custom job?

    What app were they using? Was it a custom app?

    Yes. It was. I can’t find the developers either. They vanished. It worked great before! It just had the old server hardcoded into it with no documentation.

    I paid over 60K to have it built . It is a wordpress built server back end with the iOS app.

    Ok, my best guess would be that the connection details are in the app, and that could be modified for the new server.

    You’ll probably need to hire someone to fix the custom code, or build a new (better?) one.

    Wouldn’t the hard code be in iOS? Would the wordpress side need any changes too? That you can think of? I’m just wondering what needs to be changed. I simply changed servers.

    I think just the iOS code would need changing, but this is custom code I didn’t write, I can’t possibly have any certainty in that.
