# WordPress Authentication

 * At my company, we currently use wordpress for our internal intranet and a couple
   of other internal uses. For various reasons I’ve gone with standalone WP installs
   rather than a WP network & we are using an LDAP plugin to authenticate, avoiding
   a login for each site.
 * We are now looking to migrate our external websites into WP sites and the same
   issue is cropping up – but we don’t want to have to set up AD on it just for 
   wordpress.
 * Does anyone know of any plugins etc that allow authentication to wordpress via
   local machine accounts, rather than AD accounts? We will be using a Win 2008 
   server as we have other services requiring MS SQL.
