I’m searching information about WordPress as a hosting website for the discussion forum that the company I’m working for (The F10Group) created.
Currently we are subscribed to Groupsite for our Ask The Experts discussion forum. This is the link: http://asktheexperts.groupsite.com/main/summary
We have had problems and served 4 weeks notice to move
1/ Limited customisation, branding and style of layout. We would like to create something in the style of our Recruitment website http://www.f10.co.uk (screenshots and designs to be supplied)
2/ Complicated and lengthy registration process. We want a simple click option, as well as a registration option.
3/ Would like social media “follow me” options for twitter, facebook and linkedIn adding.
4/ Option to add logo / links to other websites or links to relevant jobs in our recruitment company.
5/ A specific place to add a video link to each article that we produce and a video library
6/ Specific advertising positions on the page
7/ Better Control and Management for us to change and amend, police the site and remove items or individuals
8/ A cost effective option (we are collecting quotes)
9/ A specific page/gallery to view the profiles of our experts
10/ Better menu design for discussions and for easier navigation
11/ Option to change the order of articles (latest / most visits etc)
12/ A site design that allows us to create limitless additional pages, so that we can take Ask The Experts and have sub groups (Defence, Aerospace, Medical, IT, Telco, Retail, Inventions, Media etc) with a drop down bar or tick box option when registering, so that people only receive updates for the areas that they are interested in.
OK quite a few requirements, but we have had 2 companies say that they can meet these and convert and migrate the old ATE site stuff over within the next couple of weeks.
Please get in touch ASAP to give me further information about Word Press features.
