 * I am deeply impressed with the resources that are available in plenty for turning
a wordpress in to a professional content management system. Though a beginner,
i am confident of doing it myself. Before making my hands dirty i would like
to clear my doubts with the wordpress experts.
 * 1. Currently i run a ASP based portal which aggregates business articles. The
portal desgined and developed by a professional has over 10,000 articles and
has features that a portal would normally have. My question is, Is wp capable
   of handling these many entries?
 * 2. The back end data is on MS Access. Are there ways to export the .mdb file
to wp?. I tried to find but couldnt get . Even if there isnt any, is there a
   way to make ‘Bulk Posting’?
 * Thanks

 * Well, first, I really wouldn’t use WordPress as a CMS package. It’s a great product,
but once you start throwing that many articles into the system, navigation will
   get harder as time increases.
 * WordPress can handle as many articles as your hardware will allow. As long as
your templates are done correctly and you don’t tinker behind the scenes that
   much, you’ll be fine.
 * As for the Access DB…I’m amazed it hasn’t died on you yet. I really have strong
opinions on people attempting to use Access for Enterprise level applications,
to which, you are. ie: if that file dies, you’re screwed.
 * Either way you go, if you’re exporting access to anything (even MSSQL), you’re
in for a decent headache. Start [here](http://www.google.com/search?q=access+import+mysql&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a)
to learn about Access to MySQL.
