WordPress as a CMS Event updater

Hey guys!

I currently use WordPress on my personal site for my blog, and it is so easy to use.

However, I am creating a website for a church. On this site, they want to have a page for their upcoming events and it would be ideal for them to be able to update this site on their own with ease and then the events post to their site. This could also be used for podcasts, etc. Is there anyway to do this and have wordpress handle the input/CMS and also follow the sites current theme without the blog feel? http://www.greenewaychurch.com/new/events is the page I want to use it on. ( I DID NOT CHOOSE THE COLORS:)

If you guys could help me out, that would be AMAZING, this way they don’t have to know, as they already dont, any HTML, etc.
