# WordPress API Key

 * WordPress was automatically loaded onto my BlueHost account – in a folder “WordPress”.
   
   An API key was not provided in the e-mail notification on setup. There is no 
   API Key in “My Account” either. Please could you let me know how to obtain an
   API key so that Akismet can be used.

 * I had this problem too. I’ve looked through all the material I have and there’s
   nothing called an API key, though I have an account and in fact am logged in 
   right now.

    you need to learn to read. You are logged in at wordpress.ORG. The
   post above says go to wordpress.COM.
