• I’m a newbie to wordpress and somewhat new to WAMP. I have installed WAMP on a server to host some php developed sites. I have been tasked to migrate our GoDaddy hosted site to this wamp server. Wamp server is configured for localhost and set to relay SMTP to our internal Exchange relay.

Currently, I have the GoDaddy site functioning under my WAMP environment with the exception of email. We utilize the Contact Form 7 plugin and when I try to fill out the form and request a download get emailed to me, I am getting the Red-bordered message that it “failed to send your message. Please try later…”. I have tried the sendmail client but this isn’t working. I have setup two testmail.php files, one to use mail and one to use wp-mail. Neither work, and I get no error message and I don’t receive an email.

Can someone guide me in getting wp-mail working on my WAMP configuration so that it will send the emails to my SMTP relay?

    Thanks in advance, Jay
