    Hi all,

I’m looking to draw on WordPress’s database back-end to manage some client information. Basically, our company sends people on trips, and we’d like to be able to track customer information and trip information. Each trip contains several customers, some of them returning customers, and we need to be able to look at trip details, customer details for that trip, and customer details overall.

I’ve looked at some CRM software (Salesforce, SugarCRM), but it’s not quite what we need. So, I’m hoping WordPress might offer a solution. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Or any other software suggestions that I can look into?

    Thanks,
    ~walkinonwat3r

WordPress is a blogging platform. It could be adapted to what you need, but it would be a significant stretch of it’s abilities. Basically, you’d be building on top several features that WordPress doesn’t have, and ignoring almost all of the features that WordPress does have. Since you would basically have to hire someone to modify WordPress to this extent, I think it would be better if you continued to search for a solution, or hired someone to build one for you.
