# WordPress Account Mistake

 * I made a mistake creating an account at WordPress.org and realised that I cannot
   delete my account–that includes my username and email. I want it deleted please.
   I need help.

 * Hi Lauren,
 * I don’t think it’s possible to delete your account, according to the support 
   guidelines:
 * > At this time, [accounts cannot be deleted](https://make.wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#deleting-accounts)
   > at WordPress.org, it is currently a technical impossibility. You can edit your
   > profile to remove all info, and we can even block your account if you want 
   > us to, but we cannot delete the account.
 * I’ve tagged the moderator so they can assist you further.
