After updating to WordPress 6.0, the UI for sorting categories using the “Advanced Taxonomy Terms Order” (paid version of this one?) is an empty list. This also broke our website navigation because it doesn’t see the categories anymore.

Disabling the plugin brings the categories back but only the top level ones. These are CPT UI custom categories and hierarchical IS “On” in the CPT UI settings. This all worked great for three years but broke with the last WP core update from 5.9.3 to 6.0.

    Thanks,
    MT

  • The same! Just updated to WP 6.0.1 and Plugin is broken:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 69267576 bytes) in wp-content/plugins/advanced-taxonomy-terms-order/taxonomy-order.php on line 397

    Hi,
You must be on the edge with the current memory allocation, which appears to be 64M. Try to increase that to 128M which should make fix the issue. Check with your host on how exactly this can be done for your account.

    Thanks

    Dear @tdgu

Thanks for suggestion, but it is not working, memory allocation was already at 128M.
Tried with 512M -> not working

    Hi,
Can you send the last error message? Sorry for my mistake in the previous message, your memory appears to be set to 128Mb. So increasing to 256Mb should make a fix to the problem.

    Thanks

    With 256M:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 266338304 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 138535128 bytes) in wp-content/plugins/advanced-taxonomy-terms-order/taxonomy-order.php on line 397

    with 512M:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 277070224 bytes) in wp-content/plugins/advanced-taxonomy-terms-order/taxonomy-order.php on line 397

    Hi,
Because you are talking about the Advanced version, please use your account/contact on the plugin website for further assistance.

    Thanks

Greetings – This was resolved for us shortly after posting here. NSP was super-quick to update the plugin after some back and forth via email and our setting up a staging server for them to see what was going on.

    Thanks,
    Michael
