 * Hey guys,
 * Since I have updated to WordPress 5, I have an issue which I couldn’t find a
   solution.. so here I am!
 * Before, when I was inserting images in a blog post, one beneath another, I was
   just clicking on add media, and I was uploading all the images I needed.
 * Now, in Wordpres 5, I have to insert a gallery, with 1 column to have the same
   design as before. Things are good until here, but the problem is this.. the white
   space between images is way bigger than it was before. How can I edit the size
   of that space/padding/margin?
 * Before, the older WordPress version, was using the value set in my theme, for
   the space between images, which was 2px, if I am not wrong.. but now it looks
   way bigger.
 * Any solution, please? 😀
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fwordpress-5-images-padding%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * You can add CSS to override the new editor CSS (or get your theme author to).
 * You can switch to using Classic Editor [https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/)
   or one of the other plugins that change the editor.
 * You can downgrade your version of WordPress. [https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-downgrade/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-downgrade/)

 * Adding CSS sounds as the best option, because on the classic editor and old wordpress
   version I had some issues with uploading more than 20 images at a time inside
   a blog post. Theme author said this is not something he can do for me.. so it’s
   all down to CSS, if you can help me.

 * To add CSS: use the “Additional CSS” option in the Customizer. [https://codex.wordpress.org/CSS#Custom_CSS_in_WordPress](https://codex.wordpress.org/CSS#Custom_CSS_in_WordPress)
 * Learn to use the [Chrome Developer Tools](https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/)
   to help you see and test changes to your CSS.
