With the new wp 5.9 update if you have beaver builder with a custom dashboard template it refers to, it changes out the default background color to an image and the fonts to new colors if you dont have each setting set. Where it used to be a light grey background, it is now a blue image/texture and heading fonts are white instead of black/dark grey. Is there a way to hotfix this for sites with an update or do we have to manually go in and reset each dashboard layout to assign these colors to each module to avoid this?

Above is a screenshot for reference of what it looks like if I don’t manually go into the layout and set all the colors now, as before we relied on the default styles which wordpress core has apparently decided to change for this announcement of 5.9

  • Same here. So annoying. I hope this plugin can make an update soon to override this. Thanks WordPress (eye roll)

Same here on all my site.

    Any quick fix?

There’s a box in the plugin called CUSTOM ADMIN CSS.
I overwrited the admin style (that comes with the latest WP version and broke everything) in there and everything work fine now.

    Hello,

I am sorry for the trouble.

We tracked the issue and we are just doing some testing. We will rollout as soon as possible.

I upgraded to WP5.9 and got a ghastly looking splash advertising its arrival. I posted the following on the WP forum:

WTF is the new version doing by screwing up the dashboard on my site? It has changed all the styling and added some wretched balloons to it advertising its presence. How do I get rid of this monstrous instrusion? To say that I am angry with this appalling behaviour is putting it mildly.

This is just unprofessional and childish behaviour by the WordPress management team and we should expect better.

Fortunately, the new version of the plugin has removed the abomination.

Thanks for confirming that the latest version works.

I will now mark this ticket as resolved.

Booyah, update worked like a charm. Thank you!

@jhayvum It seems to be mostly fixed for me, but I’m seeing some inconsistencies. The weird thing I’m still getting is “no background at all” sometimes – aka, it used to be a white bg, and now it is WP’s gray bg color

Sorry about that @zackpyle, kindly adjust it on your template. What you can do is add the background to your outer wrapper.

@jhayvum But that is on dozens of my sites. It didn’t used to do that. It had a default background of white. Why is this not the case now?
