 * Having Wordfence activated breaks my site after updating to WordPress 5.5, leaves
   the front end stuck in a loading loop and on the backend blocks my access to
   the admin pages.

 * Hi [@nanasflowers](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nanasflowers/)
 * We have carried out extensive testing of Wordfence on WordPress 5.5 and Wordfence
   is working correctly for us on our quality control test sites under different
   server environments.
 * What we have seen so far is that it appears that some themes or plugins may not
   be compatible with WordPress 5.5 due to the change of deprecation for the jQuery
   Migrate JavaScript library and those themes or another plugin are now breaking
   our JavaScript.
 * Does your site work normally with a default theme such as Twenty Twenty active
   and only Wordfence active?
 * You can forcefully gain access to your WordPress administration screen using
   the instructions below:
 * [https://www.wordfence.com/help/blocking/troubleshooting/#forcefully-regain-access-to-your-site](https://www.wordfence.com/help/blocking/troubleshooting/#forcefully-regain-access-to-your-site)

 * Thanks for the update, I’ll do some offline testing to see if I can work out
   which plugins it is as the theme dev has already confirmed the theme is compatible.

 * I was also having troubles – I had to downgrade from 5.5 to 5.4.2 for Wordfence
   to work properly. I had also tried the jquery plugin with no improvement…

 * Hi [@caroleicher](https://wordpress.org/support/users/caroleicher/)
 * As per forum guidelines below can you open your own topic please:
 * _**“Unless users have the exact same version of WordPress on the same physical
   server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme, and configurations,
   then the odds are the solution for one user will not be the same for another.
   For this reason, we recommend people start their own topics.”**_
