  • JavaScript widgets from Chambermaster / Micronet, which provide us with our new members and event feeds are no longer running on our front page since the latest update to WordPress [4.2.3] at http://kirklandchamber.org

Chambermaster / Micronet states “[widgets] have stopped working on WordPress websites after the site is updated to WordPress version 4.2.3 This is the result of a bug in WordPress which will be fixed with the next software release from WordPress – https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/33106. The release may not come out for some time.”

Can we expect a fix for this any time soon? I believe manually updating the JavaScript widget code after reading your posted fix at https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/33106 will work, but I’m not sure how this will affect the widgets after your fix for the latest version is released.

    Is this a widespread issue?

    Thanks for your support.
