    Hello,

recently i have updated wordpress from 3.8 to 4.1.1 and now when i try to edit menu in admin panel (…/wp-admin/nav-menus.php) i’m having following strange bug. When i’m trying to drag one menu item it stays on its place and instead movement dotted rectangles are appending to menu items parent containers, i have tested it also for newly created menu here is screenshot – http://awesomescreenshot.com/0d04sict43

is it some wordpress bug or some db structural but caused by update ? i also don’t have some other plugin installed related to menus edit in admin

    Can someone help me ?
    Thanks

  • 3.8 to 4.1.1 direct update? that is not at all recommended because it is more than 2 versions jump.

    should have followed these steps

anyways i beleive right way now to go will be to install fresh wordpress 4.1.1 and migrate content over there.

Yes i did direct update from admin panel i thought it is safe.

So then i will try to install fresh version and migrate data there.
I can handle images migration, theme migration and other things, but with db i will need some help because i don’t know what columns are change in tables etc …

is there any how to for this situation (db migration) ?
    Thanks

Yes i have older backup which is from 3.8 version,

but the problem there is that there is a bit less data, some posts static pages, menu items etc …, that’s why i looking some way to recover current one
i need somehow migrate its data to fresh db (migration of basic data like posts, static pages, menu items),
or downgrade it from 4.1.1 to 3.8 back

so is there some good tutorial which you know for some of this cases ?
    Thanks
