  • In my wordpress website I have almost 65 nos. of pages. Problem is all the pages are working correctly except home page. At my website home page there is a 404 page not found error. I have been working on wordpress platform for more than one year. I have checked permalinks and .htaccess file but nothing has been worked out. Any help will be appreciated.

This could be due to the way the pages are configured under Settings > Reading.

You need a page configured for Front page and Posts page.

Thanks for your reply sunny. But it does not work. My permalink setting has been changed somehow it shows (http://mydomain-name/index.php/sample-post/) in post name check box. But when I checked other website permalink it shows (http://mydomain-name/sample-post/) in post name checked box. Actually what happen my hosting provider transferred my websites from one server to another. I have more than hundred websites hosted there. But only two of them showing the problem. Though one think is noticeable that both of those two website is built in wordpress enigma theme. I do not know what is going wrong.
