WordPress 3.9 Issue?

  • I have deactivated all plugins and re-uploaded a fresh version of this theme but it’s throwing this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/cyates/public_html/crmmatch.net/wp-content/themes/jbst/functions/comments-functions.php on line 2

    http://note.io/1jNuy1r

This happened after updating the theme and already being on WP v 3.9

    Hi @reikiah,

Thanks for posting your issue. I think your problem is not related to wp3.9 but to your PHP version. In comments-functions.php is used an an PHP Anonymous function. PHP support anonymous functions since PHP 5.3.0.

After reading your issue i realize i had been to progressive with using the anonymous functions. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I removed all anonymous functions from GitHub’s latest version: https://github.com/bassjobsen/jbst/archive/master.zip please try that version and let me know this will fix your issue.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Bass
