Support » Plugin: User Role Editor » WordPress 3.5.2 Upgrade & User Role Plugin Issue

  • Hi,

    I have upgraded my site from WP 5.5.1 to 3.5.2 yesterday. Since the upgrade the URE (User Role Editor) is creating some sort of conflicts or crashes.

    I have created a few roles for my end users (the Editorial Teams), and when they try to edit a existing ‘Author Profile’ they get the following error …

    === Error Start ===

    === Error On Chrome ===

    Seems there is some problem or a conflicts with the new WP update with the User Role Editor.

    Note: When I login to the ADMIN account, I don’t get this problem, and can edit the Author Profiles…

    Thanking you,

    Best regards,

  • Further Note to the Issue:

    1. This only Happned after I upgraded the plugin to 4.0.

    2. The Error takes place when I try to edit “Authors” profiles only at the moment.

    3. The error that comes when I acess the ‘edit’ feature for the ‘Authors’ is as follows:

    Fatal error: Cannot access private property Ure_Lib::$user_to_check in /wp-content/plugins/user-role-editor/includes/class-user-role-editor.php on line 141

    5. Solution: Revert back to a Old Plugin if you have them saved before you upgraded …

    6. Hope the Author of the Plugin can find us a fix to the issue …
