• I have been trying to for a long time to resolve this problem on my own (reading posts and searching the internet) and no luck. I am finding it frustrating creating posts because I am not good with code.

I would really appreciate any help.

    Thank you!

  • The standard troubleshooting steps are to:

Check under your user profile that Hide Visual Editor is not checked.

Clear any browser cache and cookies; clear any site caches.

Deactivate all your plugins. If that works, reactivate one by one to see which is the troublemaker.

If not, with them off, reset the plugins folder – using FTP, rename the plugins folder to something else like “pluginsOLD.” This can fully deactivate any that are not deactivating the normal way.

Clear all caches again, also try another browser.

Check again, if working, go through the reactivating steps again – see if it stops working at any point.

If not working, with all plugins off, switch to the default WP theme (twentytwelve) – check again.

Clear all caches again, also try another browser.

If it’s working, reverse steps again and see if and where the problem reoccurs.

If not, post back and we’ll keep going.
