WordPress 3.4.2 Does Not support DB Abstraction

I have installed and reinstalled several times and I keep getting the same results. WordPress 3.4.2 does is not work correctly with the must use plugin DB Abstraction 1.1.4 as designed.

I did the most simplest thing I could think of, I added 1 test post to the system. The post formats and goes into the database and I can even see the post listed under “psots” as one would expect.

But if i try and go to the home pag and in the search box type test, no results are found.

If I then click the link for October 2012 Archives on the right, notingis again retunred even though I KNOW there is a post out there?

I have used the DB Abstraction before and it worked fine with an older version of wordpress. But it is not working with 3.4.2.

Anyone else have this issue?

My Technical COnfiguration:
I am running wordpress and have been for a long time in a pure windows environment. I am using ms sql 2008 r2 server for my database. I am not allowed to install mysql as an option.
