# WordPress 2.9.2 Upgrade stall

 * I have never had problems using the automatic upgrade for WordPress. However,
   when I tried to automatically upgrade to WP 2.9.2, I keep getting the following:
 * “Downloading update from [http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.2.zip](http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.2.zip).
 * Unpacking the update.”
 * And then it stalls and nothing happens after that (the browser finishes loading).
   Is there something I am missing? This is so weird, and it has never happened 
   to me before.
 * Along with this, I am now getting the error “Internal Server Error” quite often.
   I don’t know if something funky in my server is causing the WordPress stall, 
   or if the WordPress stall (and my repeated attempts to upgrade) caused the something
   funky in my server!!
 * Any help is much appreciated.

 * Try increasing your memory in root/wp-settings.php
 * On line 13 you should have
 * `define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '32M');`
 * Change it to 64MB

 * **Don’t** mess with wp-settings.php. Use the options outlined in [this post](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/253495#post-1017842)
   instead.
