[Resolved] wordpress 2.5 changed the default name extension for thumbnail image

  • The thumbnail images generated by wordpress usually ended with ***.thumbnail.jpg, but now after i upgraded to 2.5, it’s ***-150×150.jpg.

How can i change back to the original format (.thumbnail.jpg)? i need to use a plugin in my blog which automatically read all the thumbnail.jpg files.

    Thanks

  • I found the solution myself. The method handling the creation of thumbnail images are in file wp-includes\media.php. Code handling filename are line 213 and line 225. hope this helps to people who have same request as me.
