# WORDPRESS 2.3.1 UPGRADE

 * I have just downloaded and installed the latest version of wordpress. However
   when I go to the upgrade page
 * [http://cleopatrathelabrador.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php](http://cleopatrathelabrador.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php).
 * I get a 404 error.
 * I am also unable to login to my wp-admin page

 * I deleted all plugins and themes from my wp-root folder.
 * Then I re-installed the latest version, but I still was unable to login or even
   carry out the upgrade.
 * So I waited an hour. Subsequently the
 * [http://cleopatrathelabrador.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php](http://cleopatrathelabrador.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php).
 * page became active and I could upgrade my site
 * So everything seems okay now, although some of my “pages” are missing
