WordPress 2.3.1 Documentation

Thanks for the help. I need to lock myself in a room and read for days, which brings up my next query. It seems like the majority of people using blog sites are pretty versed in scripting – html or other. I can find code snipets of just about anything I want to do on the site. The challenge is knowing what .php,etc. file to edit and where to insert the code. New buttons, rss feeds (to and from), you know the drill. I’m a quick study but I feel a little overwhelmed. Can you recommend a good starting point? Sorry for all the questions, but I have to start somewhere. Thanks again.
