 * Where do i change the “from” field in the emails new users get? So when users
   are created and they are sent username/password email, that email contains [wordpress@somedomain.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-1-2/wordpress@somedomain.com?output_format=md).
   I want to change the part that says wordpress@. Where do i change this?

 * fwiw, thats not stored in the database, its hardcoded into a core file. Thats
   what my new plugin is good for 🙂

 * Hey whoomi works great!
 * The only thing was it didn’t unpack in a folder I had to create one.
 * Simple as that is I can see it causing you headaches down the road. 😉

 * there are differences of opinions regarding how one ought to pack archives —
   and the problem is complicated by how ppl **unpack** archives — 🙂
 * I actually use winrar, as a shell extension to unpack, (and it unpacks to a directory
   thats the same of the zip)- because of that when I unpack most plugins I get
   two directories (2 directories are the cause of most plugin installation problems).
 * I decided, thusly, that I would do it so that it when **eye** unpacked it, it
   would only make one.
 * I realize I didnt really need to explain that, but i thought i would let you
   know, it was done on purpose. 🙂
 * And .. cool I am glad it worked as expected 🙂

 * Folks using tar.gz of course know how to unpack a file:)
