Wordfence won't let an IP address, saved as option value

    I encountered a problem today with latest version (6.0.3) of wordfence security plugin, on wordpress 4.2.2.

    I have a custom options page, for a plugin, i’m developing and there is field to store a URL for a third party API. That field works fine for non-IP address URLs but if I try to save IP address in it, it does not save/update the value and redirects to homepage of the website.

    I saw an option in wordfence settings, that scans Options table for malicious values. But even after that option was turned off, problem persists.

    For now I have deactivated the plugin and problem is fixed. But I like the features of wordfence plugin and would like the plugin development team to look into this matter. Thanks !
